Handling Romeo and Juliet
Sorry my topics our all about cupid today but my salon looks like someone sprayed it with pepto-bismol its covered in pinks, reds and hearts....I know with all the studly beefcakes and beautiful ladies on this site this issue has to come up...
When Mr or Misses Capulet looks at you like your a sweet edible cupcake and asks you out or becomes overly flirtacious how do you handle it....
Do you say lamely that you don't date clients? Do you say I am taken? If they just flirt do you just humor them alittle? You want them to loose interest in you not in your tanning so how do you find a happy medium as not to lose a client..... As an owner you need an even more tactful way to fend off your sonnet spouting love sick clientele....how and how do you tell your staff to handle such romantic advances? Policy? Some of you open to client dating?
I play it off so they don't feel awkard and change the subject or something.... I just know I lost one client because he asked in front of clients and i had to decline, he turned red and I tried to play it off....I told him I was taken but flattered.... He goes why do you always talk so much about your specials and lotions to me.....*thats because thats my job.....everybody off the slow bus*(I didnt say that!)
The older lady behind him goes she always does believe me I have a bottle to prepare, 2 bottles to tan and a bottle to extend! He was blushing and goes I am not tanning today I will be back tommarrow....never seen him again UGH! Should you talk less to those of the opposite sex?.....
