You need the appropriate Star Receipt Printer and a Cash Drawer that is compatible with the Star. Some other brands of Receipt Printer will emulate a Star Printer but simplier to use Star.
Now Helios last year REALLY dropped their prices on this item.
Historically they charged 599.00 (not competitive)
Their current pricing is 299.00 for both the Receipt Printer and Cash Drawer is more realistic.

There are times when employees need to be able to open the drawer without a sale. When they are dropping those hundreds of dollars into your drop safe ... end of day ... etc.
Helios tracks every NO SALE OPEN (they press F3 to open without a sale) ... this feature has actually
help in isolating the thief in many cases. Sometimes better to let an employee do certain things ... giving a certain type of employee enough rope to hang themselves can be most effective.
