Re: Help!!!!!!

Expired lamps? I have been in the biz for 14 years and I have never heard of this? If it walks like a duck it probably is a duck...
I woud call sunvision and get recommendations from them..

Sometimes having your own tanning unit is a challenge. It is different then a commerical unit. Your color may be not all tanning bed bulb issues. It could be acrylic issues. Lotion issues. electric power source. Where the bed is located. Running to hot can shorten the life of the bulbs. Maintenance is very important to a tanning bed. 1 month if using a lot . Vacuum the internal guts and polishing the acrylic will keep the acrylic in good shape. What do you clean your acrylic with after your finished tanning? If you are using windex or any other cleaner other than approved acrylic cleaners..the acrylics are probably in need of a change.

There is alot more to a tanning bed at home..some of my tanning clients own tanning units in their home and once the see how much work, maintenance and up keep in general and the dollars spent on this along with electricity output cost and your time factor... it is just not worth it..
You think you are saving $$, but the realty you have to spend more time in a home unit, and the tan is not a smart and efficent as a professional salon. You should limit your exposure based on your skin type and if you don't your skin will not be happy later...

There is a smart way to tan and a not so smart way to tan.. Alot of home units the clients will stay in them longer which is definately NOT good.

So..the clients who have units at home say:
Leave it to the professiona salons..Let them do the up keep and I will be a "guest" and get a nice smart tan, relax and leave without the headache.

If you still want to go through the trouble best bet is go on line and get tel# to bed manufacture and get help this way to insure correct/proper maintenance.

Hope this helps. Good luck
