I always recommend the midlevel beds to start if you are there more for the tan than you are the "session", if you know what I mean. Beginning session times will vary based on lamp strength and skin type, but most Skin Type II tanners can get away with a 5 or 6 minute session for the first 2 or 3 sessions in the midlevel beds. After 2 or 3 sessions at 6 minutes or so, if you aren't experiencing any redness, increase your session time by 2 minutes and hold there for 2 sessions and check the results. Again, if after two sessions at 8 minutes you have no burning and are seeing a good base tan developing, continue increasing session lengths in 2 minute increments until you reach the maximum session length of the unit you are using. After that, you can either continue doing the max session a2 or three times a week or upgrade to a once a week session in the HP bed if they have one.
