SHould i stick with a thicker fabric?? but that how would i clean it and i would need to put this fabric behind the exhaust fan in the ceiling?

Some of you mentioned using exhaust fans? Are you using ones similar to the exhaust fans for bathrooms? Also, what kind of filter and where did you purchase the filter your talking about putting behind the exhaust fan.
Thanks so much for the advice
To answer your first question about the fabric I would go to the fabric store and take a look at some different materials. There is alot out there that can work. Depending on how you attach it to the top of your wall it maybe very easy to take down and run it through your wash machine a few times a year. Most overspray with HVLP falls so the cieling shouldn't get that bad.

Exhaust fans........I recommend using simple box fans. They move much more cubic air a minute then most bathroom exhaust fans. Plus they are dirt cheap to replace. I would build a nice stand or booth with two or three box fans installed in it. Think of a wall with cut outs and fans on the back side. I found simple Batten
(1/2" thick) for quilts/blankets in the fabric section at WalMart work the best for filters. Nothing get through to your fan. If you use furnace filters your fan will be covered in overspray after a few sprays. Plus Batten is dirt cheap.

If I remember correctly your converting a whole room over to a spray room. So I would desing some type of stand to hold the fans. You've seen the pictures of overspray booths so just make the back wall of it. Very easy and cheap to do. Plus with all the finishing materials out there you can make it look very appealing, unlike many of the over spray booths on the market.
