All beds have different requirements as far as cooling and make-up air. Having a little more going into a room than suggested is a good idea as you will realize higher output and extended lamp and component life. Sure it's possible to over cool a bed but if an entry level bed may call for 3/4 ton put in a ton etc. Some VHR's need 2 tons and some HP may need 3 tons. Check with the Mfgr. and always go on the higher side. Venting outside is always best when possible. Hot air may rise but it will force it's way down if there's no where else to go.
