Re: Matrix L33 Relamp kit
Tan America is the FDA "manufacturer of record" for the 600+ Matrix units that are in the field. The fact that ISO made them for TA has nothing to do with it. If ISO and/or any of their agents cannot "legally" modify any TA Matrix unit. Only Tan America can legally do that.
ISO and/or their agents can legally modify the new "Marster" units, assuming that they are recognized as the FDA "manufacturer of record" for the unit.
They are both compatible with the unit. One is a POS and the other is not.
I have tested the Tan America retrofit kit (it performs very well, thank you!) and I'll bet that neither ISO and/or their agents have tested the ISO retrofit kit. Therefore, it is my opinion that the ISO retrofit kits being installed "violate" FDA regulations and put the salon owner in a position where they can be badly hurt and THAT is why I am "speaking out" about this issue
QUOTE DON SMITH
I would assume if this is correct and I don't see why Don would post somehting incorrect that it would make it correct via an FDA issue.
