Re: Flooring

We have both tile and the floating laminate wood flooring. The tile is very durable and easy to clean. Sealing all the grout lines is a little agravating. The wood flooring is very warm feeling, but we can only wet "Swiffer" it. You can't use a regular wet mop because it causes water to get pushed down between the seams and underneath the flooring. I also noticed that when the wood flooring drys, it leaves water spots. One of my employees suggested I buff it up with some Pledge furniture polish. I don't think so - it would be so slippery!!! Knowing that wood flooring scratches easily, we put felt pads underneath our beds so that we could easily move them to clean & vacuum. However, this makes it easier for a customer to lean against the bed and push it into the wall. Eeek! The wood flooring installs quicker than tile and isn't as much of a messy project. That all being said - I think tile is the way to go or that stained concrete.
