1. What type of bed are you tanning in? Use a bed that has facial lamps. Lamps have higher output in the middle than at the ends.

2. Do you normally wear makeup? Most makeups have SPF. Go ahead and go overboard cleansing your face. I understand that you don't want to scrub off your tan, but you don't have a tan to scrub off. Get down to clean new skin.

3. use a good face tanning lotion as suggested above.

4. How long have you been on the pill? Do you still have problems with the acne? If so, the oily skin may be the problem as well. Again, get rid of the oil and get down to new skin.
