Re: 10 success steps to business ownership

This is a GREAT post that ALL should print out, and study -- in small sections -- and really ask themselves if they are TRULY doing as suggested, and if not -- why not!

It's a meaty read -- don't just skim over it and say "yep - good stuff". Print it out. Put each of the 10 points on a separate page. List out what you have done RIGHT in regard to the particular point. As well as what you could STILL do to improve!

If there is one thing I have seen over and over in this industry, it's people that have the PASSION -- sometimes even the STRUCTURE -- but very little else. And even with the passion -- it is unfocused and doesn't actually lead to ACTION --- just ideas that never go anywhere. Heck -- how many people spend more time reading and posting on Tantalk then they spend on their business?? Not IN the business -- working the salon. But ON the business -- the marketing, planning, analyzing, etc etc etc.

GREAT post CTM -- thanks!!

p.s. Yes -- I'm taking my own advice, printing it out, and doing my OWN "report card" on how I'm doing!
