Lumiere Tips
Hello, first off this post is neither in support of Lumiere nor is it in forlorn terms.
I have one of the first Lumiere units and have done quite well with my unit given the circumstances over the past 19 months. Keep in mind that my business is focused around Photo-facials and spray-tanning.
I just want to pass along some ideas for those whom have Lumiere and need to boost their revenue from this device.
1.) For Results the unit needs to be right at the face. We even go as far as having the unit touch the customer’s nose, or at the most 1” away.
We did some preliminary tests with an experimental 633 light meter. The meter needs calibration (at any distance closer than 10” it maxed out the meter).
But… one thing that could be determined was that the light intensity decreased by 100% every 3” THAT IS A SERIOUS DIFFERNECE.
I have had clients that would position the device up to 8” away from their face.
2.) S.A.D. (Seasonal Affect Disorder) AKA Depression caused by lack of light. We all know that tanning beds help with this, but what Doctor is going to send you SAD patients (Not Many).
However… If they know you have a light source such as this (safe for the eyes, no UV), you can work out a partnership with many Psychologists and Family Doctors.
It is just one more way to get your ROI with this type of device. In this case the softer, healthier skin is a bonus for the customer.
We price it at $20.00 for a 10 min. session, obviously no product; just the light.
Not a big seller in the Spring/Summer months, but a potential mini-gold mine in the Fall/Winter.
I know this is not Cash falling from the sky, but I hope it helps you a bit.
FYI, This info is not from RAI nor is it Commissioned by RAI.
I do not work for RAI, nor will I fight their battles, so don’t start in on me.
These are just some tips I am passing along.
Thanks,
Tom
