Here is some info on some of the ingredients.


Magnolia bark has been used for treating ailments from bronchial asthma to depression to anxiety. Components of Magnolia officinal are one thousand times more potent than alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E) in their antioxidant activity, thereby offering a potential heart-health benefit..
No significant toxicity or adverse effects have been associated with traditional use of magnolia bark - but because high doses can cause drowsiness



Passion flower has a tranquilizing effect, including mild sedative and anti-anxiety effects. it has been used for nervousness and insomnia.

Caution is advised if you have diabetes, alcohol dependence or liver disease. it is not recommended for use in pregnant women or children under the age of two. If already taking a sedative or tranquilizer, consult a health care professional before using passion flower.


Scutellaria I would use causation with this one. Scientific Name: Baikal Scullcap In animal studies, chemicals in Baikal scullcap have been shown to block an enzyme that digests starches from food. As a result, blood sugar levels may be lower than expected. If Baikal scullcap is taken at the same time that insulin or oral antidiabetic drugs are used to control diabetes, the effects of the drugs could be increased. Blood sugar levels could become too low, resulting in a condition called hypoglycemia. Signs of hypoglycemia include shakiness, sweating, confusion, distorted speech, and loss of muscle control. If not corrected, low blood sugar can lead to unconsciousness and even death.
When Baikal scullcap is used with prescription drugs that promote sleepiness, the effects of the drug may be exaggerated,


Niacinamide is a B vitamin. Like all B-vitamins, it plays a role in many aspects of energy metabolism (as a component of NAD) and nervous system function. Because it is involved in the proper functioning of more than 200 metabolic enzymes, it plays a role in a wide range of bodily processes, including synthesis of hormones and blood cells and the release of energy from fats, carbohydrates and proteins.
Some side effect are “skin-flushing” (similar to hot flashes) as well as the serious risk of liver damage


Panax Ginseng has been used for increased endurance and stamina. It has also been used for strengthening the body to fight fatigue and stress and thereby improve physical and mental performance. Some side effects are Headache, nervousness, agitation and trouble sleeping may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor promptly. Unlikely but report promptly: diarrhea, fast or irregular heartbeat, skin rash, unusual vaginal bleeding.


pinellia root is usually taken in combination with other herbs for different conditions. It is used in combination with ginger and alum to treat nausea and vomiting; or with glycyrrhiza to treat and regulate the stomach. People with a dry cough due or blood disorders should not use Pinellia. As the herb is also slightly toxic, it should not be taken by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.


Poria (fungus) It is a mild, safe and effective diuretic. It is used in hundreds of classical formulas to improve the flow of water through the body. Poria also has significant immune enhancing ability. There are no known side effects


Jujuba (fruit) has been used historically for weakness, shortness of breath, reduced appetite, and loose stools. jujuba has also been used to improve muscle strength and to help to maintain health in those with stress ulcers and liver disease, preventing the conditions from getting worse.


perilla leaves are used to treat colds, stomachaches, diarrhea, and to prevent coughs. Occasionally, they are used to treat morning sickness. In addition, perilla leaves can be used with other herbs to treat food poisoning caused by eating bad seafood.
