Re: timer compatible?

The contactor normally has a magnetic coil which energizes whne your timer closes the circuit. This is normally followed by an audible click due to the center piece of the contactor being pulled down. This in turn creates a path for your main power to travel into the bed. Your timer is nothing more than a low voltage on off electronic on/off switch. Normally if I follow my logic here in hook ups we use the red and black wires for sigle phase hook ups. This would normally mean that they are both hot, and to engage the contactor you would only have to put a jumper on the timer, and break either one of the black or red wires with the switching legs of the T_max 3A this 3A is the low voltage on/off switch now and you're in business.
