I noted that about SunTouch; I assumed at some point that a competitor designed that demo to scare clients away, because that was the only conclusion I could reach regarding what a POS it was.
Helios seemed a bit cumbersome, but that was because of my initial exposure to ST2.0. After more than a month I finally received a response from them and they've expanded their demo and appear to be in business afterall, but I'll research it more to see if it won't operate as a stand-alone (as opposed to being forced to use an internet based database) because if that's the case, it's off my list as well.
Here's the demo (PW's are 'demo') for those curious while I check its Point of Sale capabilities and its dependence on the internet. Again, I'm a complete neophyte (hence my asking advice) but it seems remarkably user friendly.
