If you "rarely ever burn", like 100% of the population, then you haven't been doin it right. You damaged many many layers of skin. Stay out of the sun for a while to let the rest of your skin catch up to the white patches on your shoulders. Once everything matches, go out and "don't" burn some more. Good luck.
