One manufacturer to stay away from is Dr. Kern. I had them nothing but problems, over heating, acrylics cracking due to poor air circulation, and lamps always going out. Service sucks. I had a problem with each of my beds, they ordered my parts, they came in and and my parts was used on somebody elses beds, and this was openly told to me. I have also been contacted by several salon owners who still have Dr Kern that they are filing a class action suit. It is ironic how several salon owners all have the same problems with the same beds. So DR KErn stay away from.
As far as the best equipment, do your homework. ETS may work in one area but in others will fail. I tanned in a new ETS bed at a salon and it was the worst experience next to the ultra sun experience. The cooling systems were horrible. I was hotter than heck with the first 5 minutes. Tan in the beds before you purchase, you can only sell what you believe in. Somebody mentioned go to the ITA show in June, that is the best way to be able to compare beds, ask questions, and speak with other salon owners. There will always be somebody out their with a positive and negative experience, some people like fords while others hate them. Do not be afraid to ask questions of each manufacturer.
