BUMP!!!
Personally, I eat a small, balanced meal about 4hrs before going to the gym, then about 15mins before leaving for the gym I have a pint of cranberry and grapefruit juice, IMO the protein, fats and complex carbs from the meal give me the sustained energy and the simple carbs from the juice give me an energy 'blast' during the cardio part of my workout (as soon as I get to the gym).
