What type of bed?

For ETS beds, the low voltage wire is +5V DC and should not cause any problems.

Other bed remote wiring can carry 28, 110, or 220 V AC, and can harm the timer electronics if touched to the digital circuitry.

It sounds like your 1A timer has parameter 10 set to 1. This locks out the timer from stand-alone operation.

Things to check:
#1) Make sure the comms cable is connected between the Manager and all beds.
#2) Make sure the comms chips are installed in the correct orientation.
#) Remove power from the timer that was damaged, and reboot the Manager, it might see the remaining beds.

We do have after-hours and weekend support. If no-one is in the office, the phone system will direct you to a cell phone number that is manned by one of our technicians.
