I bought a really cheap pair of slippers (the kind you slip on and don't cover your entire foot). I don't use the barrier cream at all on my feet, too slippery. When I'm done, I use the excess solution from my hair cap on my feet.
BTW, I don't think it's a good idea to put towels down because the "fuzzys" will eventually clog the drain.
