Yikes. Sunless is going to grind itself into the ground with all these amateurs. Don't take offence, that would be directed at your trainers.

Here's how you want to approach your spray on service; first thing, too much DHA will cause a cient to turn orange. Much like an over exposure in the UV bed turns you red. Secondly, each client has a level where a DHA application will burn(stain) them. Again, much like UV.

You do not want to burn(stain) a client. So much like a UV client, low volume applications for fair/pale skin, heavier applications for dark/olive/tanned skins.

Can you build a deeper tan with mulitple applications?. Everyone in the business considers this at some point. What is the best approach when trying to get the maximum out of this type of servie?. Here's my suggestion;

Start off with the normal procedures in delivering the service. Suggest that the client perform exfoliating and moisturizing the night before. Moisturize again in morning or just before coming into the salon. At salon, review any skin inconsistencies with the client. Address them specifically with miosturizers or blockers (watch those hands/feet). Perform your application, using your experience in volumes, according to their skin quality. Stay on the light side as you do not want to stain them. Session one finished. Book an appointment day after next. When they come in, review thier tan and look for any staining tendencies. If staining is evident in those known areas, hands/feet, protect accordingly with blockers. If staining is evident elsewhere, you are a(or slightly over) that individuals max level and no further DHA should be applied. If not, once you've blocked potiental problem areas, proceed with second tan, again going slightly light on volumes.

Ok, now you can repeat this process every second day. But, stop when you see staining tendencies (that you can't manage with blockers) begin to develop.

This process is for special customers only. A single spray on tan will suffice for 99.9% of your clients.
