| I have a small empty cottage behind my home that I am considering turning into a salon instead of renting it out. I live within walking distance of a University & there are no other tanning salons in this small college town, so I don't believe I would have a problem obtaining business. I know there was a beauty shop in my home at one time, so I feel pretty confident there won't be a problem with the city allowing me to do so, although, I plan to check this out first. I am thinking of beginning with one bed & renting another room out to a massage therapist. I have never owned a business & don't know where to start, so I can use all the help I can get. Can someone give me an idea how much it would cost to start up? Is insurance very high? Please I can use any & all suggestions, I don't have a clue about any of this. Thanks
