Zabazu,
It is not quite that simple.
First, the exchange rate is 1 NZD = $0.6688 USD so the related cost to her in New Zealand is $51,839 USD:

United States Dollars
1 NZD = 0.648795 USD 1 USD = 1.54132 NZD
If she was able to find the unit in the USA for $21,000 USA that would equal 32,365 NZD.

At this point, she would have to get someone to crate the unit (after dissambly) and load onto the shippers vessel. The shipper would have to be familiar with USA and NZ import/export laws to guide her through the process. She, of course, would have to pay in advance for this unit sight unseen. Then, she could air freight the unit to NZ which would be around $3500 (she could save if she sent by boat but that would take about 6 to 8 weeks). THen, she would have to pay all import tax and duties (in advance) which, I guess, is about 5% or $2000 USD. Finally, she would have to pay the 12.5% NZ value added tax which is equivilent to $2625 USD.
Now she has $29,125 invested (44,859 NZD) in a used piece of
equipment with no warranty that she has never seen. I suppose she could fly to the USA to see it first (I did the same to check out a unit in the UK) but you need to add another $2500 and a week of time to the above numbers. If her capital structure is thin and if this unit does not perform or is in need of repair.........could end up being a millstone around her neck.
I do this little math quiz only to show it is not as easy as one may think.
