I'm using Windows 2000 Pro and Helios 9.2.5.

I've been getting this error code:

8018 Operation valid only when the port is open Communicating With Bed Controller

Anybody know what it means?

When this happens I'm able to continue.

I'm also getting a second error that closes Helios.

"Helios9,exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
You will need to restart the program.
An Error log is being created."

When this comes up everything stops. There is a "cancel" button at first that changes to "OK" when (I suspect) the error log has been written. If I hit cancel I usually cannot reopen Helios without restarting Windows. If I let it go to "OK" sometimes, but not always, I can restart Helios. Otherwise I get another error message (something about an object cannot initialize).

Is anyone familiar with this situation? Where might the error log be located. It's not in the Helios9, or the Dr. Watson directory or any other obvious place I've looked.

Any Ideas?
