Halole:

This could be a reaction to an ingrediant in the lotions.. maybe too much of the product laying on the skin, or a reaction to too much sweat.. ( they are in fact allergic to their own sweat)....... we see this here in the tropical zones of Florida a lot.......

I have seen where they try to release the fluid...then.....the area of where the "raised spot" was becomes pinkish for several days....then turns white and can't get colour again.....

For people who experiance this try to put them in a basic plain moisturizer ( an after tanning one that you sell at your studio)..
Remember the idea behind a tanning lotion indoors, is to get the skin moist..damp.......so that the UV can do its thing..( Example... total Immersion will help a person get a tan if they can not use an actual indoor tanning product)....

Some women get "bumps" on their legs and near the under arms if they have shaved that day and then come to tan......

Also be sure the guest does not have on a product that has a fregrance.. ( example: bath and body works vanilla spice moisturizer..) remember UV plus a perfume can cause irratation and or sun spots...

Remember everyone is different....but tell them NOT to try to "pop" or release the bump.... leave it alone...... they will show you all kinds of things on their body..and say what is this? Don't try to say for sure unless you know for sure...
Remember this person TRUSTS you.....you are the person dealing with their skin.....
Refer them to a doctor ( one YOU trust, will not dog indoor tanning)....

you are right Haole: the "bump" if containing a liquid will generaly absorb back into the body over a period of time. Tell them to leave it alone..and watch it for a little while......

I hope this helps..
