I've been extolling the virtues of the Light Sources Aurora series since they came out. See the Midday Sun readings at 800 hours? Told ya so.
Define "new." I don't take readings right out of the box. Those first few hours are all over the place and not typical of the
lamps' output for 99.9% of its lifetime. I've seen UVA in the 60s for some 160 watt reflectors when brand new. Take the reading at 20 hours and you'll get a more representative reading. Then 30% down from that would make a good replacement point.
If Light Sources is now making the Genesis
lamps, then I'm absolutely stumped on its relatively poor showing. It could be Sun/Ergloine said to Light Sources, "Make these
lamps' output fall off the cliff just like when Voltarc made them."
