Teresa, I am shortly going out of the office to a client for the balance of the day.
Assuming you are running V9.2.5 (or earlier) at this location then I can suggest the following.
Leave the System File on the Server as it is.
On the Workstation create a new System File record ... View ... Preferences ... System ... Site Info
Edit System Files
Assuming the current record is "0 - Default" ... create "1 - Workstation 1"
F10 Save and Close
Select (from the drop down) the new 1 - Workstation 1 system file record
F10 Save the System Defaults ... ESC and close Helios completely on that workstation and restart Helios.
Now, some work to do ... review and reset ALL of the fields in your System Defaults ... some will have been copied from the Default record but MANY will have to be reset.
ALSO the Accumulator Names and User Defined Names on the Client Profile may also have to be reset on the Workstation.
ALSO the
Equipment Bed Types (and colors) may have to be reset on the Workstation. MAKE SURE the letters for each of the up to 6 bed types are identical to those used on the Server.
So, Teresa ... there are three parts to the System Files for each workstation:
System Defaults
Client Profile User Defined/Accumulator Names
Equipment Bed Types
Bring up each of these areas on the Server and move through each on the Workstation making them the same (with possible changes applicable to the separate workstation).
Now you have the separate System File record that you can enter the applicable Serial # on the Peripheral Tab for the Thumbprint Reader.
NOW WASN'T THAT SIMPLE !!!!!
just kidding ...
You may decide to wait until you have someone on the phone to support you before doing this ... your call.
If in fact you are using V9.4 ... OK I am confused, assuming you only have one dongle ... you should have had to set up separate system files to support the Timer Server program ... discussion would be required here.
Hope this helps ....
