If you are like me, sometimes I find myself thinking that all of the regulatory agencies are focusing their attention only on the indoor tanning industry. A letter and phone conversation I just had shows that this perception is not true. We ARE NOT ALONE in our battle against "big government".

I was just asked to join a "task force" that is being set up to "protest" the abuses of the NIEHS "Report on Carcinogens" (which I accepted!). [Note: You will remember that this is the group that listed UVR as a "known human carcinogen"!]

This "task force" will use ALL means at their collective disposal to force NIEHS to follow the guidelines set forth for them by Congress. Keep in mind that when NIEHS was set up, it was for the "express purpose" of providing "useful information for ordinary citizens" and, what has happened is that the Report on Carcinogens has become nothing more than a "compendium" of "hazzard" listings. The most egregious fault of the RoC is that it doesn't list the beneficial effects when indicated (as in the case of UVR).

So, by participating with this "task force" I will be working with a large number of industries (and companies) who have been hurt by NIEHS actions.

I'm excited to get started! I am also comforted by the fact that the indoor tanning industry is not alone.
