Ginger:

(2) Using the Cosmedico VHR-TT's in your Sun Dazzler would require, IMHO, shortening the maximum time from 11 minutes to 10 minutes and 8 minutes will be more than enough for most people.

(1) We have not tested the Tanses sunbeds. However, I wonder if the 8 minute time is based upon (1) the te (time to 4.0 MED) time, or, (2) a desire for marketing reasons to have a shorter time. Salon owners who have the 52 lamp unit tell me that it takes 11-12 minutes to get a good tan and that would indicate (to me at least) that the 8 minute time is marketing driven.

The "bottom line" is that since the manufacturer (Tanses) "claims" a MTI (maximum timer interval) of 8 minutes, you are stuck with that time.

When in doubt - go with the sunlamp recommended by the sunbed manufacturer!

Hope this helps.
