I think it would be a good idea to sponsor a needy family. Last year at this same time my husband fell off of a house at work and broke both of his arms and crushed his elbow. Needless to say he was unable to work for months. I was the only one working, with 2 kids and one on the way. There is not alot of help out there for family's in this situation.Thank goodness for the COO of our business. She called around and found me help for Christmas gifts for my kids. Wal-Mart was glad to help.I guess I was one of those people who thought (it will never happen to me) now I know how easily it can happen.So anyway, I think it would be great to find a family to sponsor and make sure they have a great Thanksgiving and Christmas. After all kids don't understand our problems and expect presents for Christmas.
