We, like most of you, have two salons that have limited counter space. One salon has no office and the other is in the back of the salon and you aren't able to see if the door bell is ringing for a customer coming in or leaving. With 8 to 9 hour employees and no lunch break it is hard to tell them they can't eat. We allow them to eat at the desk but our desk have shelves in them so that when a customer does walk in the employee can sit their food or drink on that shelf out of the customers sight. We really have not had a problem with this. Of course in peak season it is rare that our employees even try to waste money on a "big" meal knowing they will not have time to eat before it gets cold.
