One thing that is failing to be looked at here is that many salons are not real sanitary, many salons do not clean the
equipment themsleves, but expect the clients to do so (gross!) and many salons don't care....they just want to take your money. Also to consider is the fact that some tanning beds are a 'quickie income'. There may be one or 2 slapped in a beauty salon, laundry, gym, etc that nobody gives a hoot about, they just want the extra $$ it brings in, so...how sanitary do you think those units are (stand up or otherwise)?I was told of a salon in my area that several people (even one of employees) caught ring worm from the beds. Not sure if it possible, but if a bed is not sanitized properly (or at all), I would venture to say there you could catch anything excpet an 8lb. trout! Just my 2 cents worth!
